I am brand new to DNN, though I have had friends raving about it for years and I'm trying to jump on the band wagon. I'm running .Net 1.1, IIS 5.1 (XP Pro), VS.Net 2003 (7.1), and MSDE 2000 all on my local machine. I've followed the installation instructions included in the 3.2.2 docs. I've created the DotNetNuke DB, modifed the web.config (formerly release.config in the 3.2.2 Source Zip file), created the virtual directory in IIS Admin, added full permissions to MYCOMPUTERNAME/ASPNET and connected to the new portal. The installation happens flawlessly and within a few moments I see the new portal as expected. I can log in and out, everything appears to work fine... so far.

I'm trying to work through the DNNJungle HelloWorld tutorial to create a simple module, but I'm being slammed with error messages when I try and build the project. For kicks, I opened the DotNetNuke.Core solution in VS.Net 2003 and attempted to build the solution as it was distributed (without modifying anything) and I am slammed with the same compile timer errors. The vast majority of the 100+ errors are: 'ClientAPI' is not a member of 'Utilities'. I get a few that say: Name 'ClientAPI' is not declared. Anyone have any ideas why the Source distribution would give me those messages? Please help!

Thanks!

This error is commonly found when some of the base projects have not yet been built. Use the DotNetNuke. All solution for a first full compile. This should allow you to build the full system. Then you'll be able to use the Core solution.
