Hi everyone.  I'm about to do a test install of 4.5.5 on our company Intranet.

I'd like to have the SQL database on our SQL server, not using the express edition.

If we have SQL Server 2000, is there anything special I need to do with the connection strings, or is the default connection string in the installation acceptable?

Just wanted to make sure I could do the 4.5.5 install using SQL 2000.

Thanks,
Chad

Also,

Do I just add a new database on our SQL server and leave it empty, or do I need to set up some sort of default tables or anything?

Will I be good as long as I include the db username and password in the connection strring?

Thanks,
Chad

Chad,

You do not need to do anything special to work with SQL Server 2000.

You will want to setup a blank database and a user account to access it, then simply ensure that your connection string is valid and you are set to go!
