Currently I am in the process of redesigning our Intranet site using DNN, and have been tasked with finding an application/module that we could use for Training and Educational Purposes. I have searched several sites and nothing stood out. I just wanted to check in and see if any one had any suggestions, or anything in the works.

Any direction would be very helpful!
Thanks!
Christina

We  are currently looking at a employee communications tool, that could provide training to employees in a method they could watch online (possibly even podcasts) etc. This specific tool has the capability to record the time/person who started the training and when it was completed.

I have been asked that we look into options with the re-design project of doing something similar ---ability to create content -possibly multiple formats (presentations, video, etc),  and track who has viewed. They are not sure whether it would need to be interactive (tests, etc) or just viewable/downloadable.

But any suggestions either way would be great. They want it to be integrated in with DNN if at all possible.

Thanks!
Christina

We built a training system for one of our clients.

www.banthecrim.com - have a look at the ONLINE DEMO.

DNN handles the front end including a modified CATALOOK shopping cart that handles sale of course tickets.
With custom DNN modules handling provision of authentication keys / reporting and monthly invoicing for
corporate clients.

The actual training system is run in FLASH.

All the FLASH is driven by XML files and the data is track back to the DNN database using WebServices.
The work flow of the entire course is tracked online .. and a user can drop in and out of the course at anytime
with their place tracked at the section level.

Westa-

I've tried this morning to view the ONLINE DEMO, but keep getting the following message: " You don't have the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player. This web site makes use of the Macromedia FlashTM software. You have an old version of the Macromedia Flash Player that cannot play the content created."  Current Version: 9.16, required Version 7.19.

I did verify that I had the current version, but I also tried to view the site as is, and I recieve an error.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
