I'm trying to use Nikhilk Kothari controls  http://www.nikhilk.net/UpdateControls12.aspx 

 On his example for the update animator control he does something like the following:

protected override void OnPreRenderComplete(EventArgs e) {
    base.OnPreRenderComplete(e);
    if (!Page.IsPostBack) {
        return;
    }

    RepeaterItem lastItem = itemsList.Items[itemsList.Items.Count - 1];
    UpdateIndicator updateIndicator = (UpdateIndicator)lastItem.FindControl("updateIndicator");

    updateIndicator.ShowUpdate(/* addHighlight */ true);
}

The issue is that when I try this inside a DNN module it says that the is not a  OnPreRenderComplete to be overrided.

I changed it to:

protected override void OnPreRenderComplete(EventArgs e) {
    base.OnPreRenderComplete(e);

 But by doing this this method is never called.

Can someone point me the correct way of using OnPreRenderComplete in DotNetNuke?
