The gallery module has run beautifully for about 6 months now and all of a sudden out of the blue I get the dreaded error
A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
It is a hosted site DNN 4.03.05 Gallery 3.01.12.
It looks like some sorta permissions error, the hoster says "they have changed nothing"

I tried to install Mr Jegers updated version and it failed with the following error ...access to \.\.\.Gallery.exif.dll is denied.
Any help is thoroughly appreciated.
