Hi there,

I am currently in the process of evaluating the different forums for use, and it seems that the Active Modules forums has many more features than the core DNN forum.  Will the upcoming new version close the gap a little on the feature lists?

Thanks,

Rod

hmmmn, guess I'll go with the Active Modules then!

I suppose that the silence on my question here reflects one of my underlying feelings about open source projects (like DNN)  vs commercial projects.  Any commercial venture is driven by the dollar and by virtue need to be responsive and competitive - hence their neccesity to innovate and keep one step in front of the competition.  Open source doesn't have that pressure?!

I would like to see this question answered too. Somebody care to make a comparison chart?

I won't consider an unreleased version to make a comparison. For me, does not make any sense compare a software available with another that you don't know when you can have it.

The new forum module can be released the next month (September) or even December (2007).... remember, this module is trying to get out since March!

So... if you need a good module today, you don't have too many options...

Cheers,

Alfonso

The forums module is supposed to be released today. It looks like it's already active on dnnforums.com.
