Hi,

When I go to Admin > Authentication in my portal I get the message below:

The default authentication provider specified in web.config is not configured properly. Authentication settings are disabled.

From http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/154782/scope/posts/Default.aspx I understand this might be a trust issue.

My dnn is installed in medium trust, does this mean that Authentication isn't possible?

Thanks!

rudgr

I haven't tested it under medium trust personally but will give it a shot tonight if I have some time. It is something that will need to be sorted out with all of the providers that are going to be available or potentially available when 4.6.0 is released.

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner but I just had a chance to try under Medium Trust settings and it looks like you're right. The current AD provider will not work under Medium Trust. I haven't had a chance to sort out why yet but will try to over the next couple of days.
