I have about 15 child portals set up.  On all of them I can edit portal aliases and even delete the whole portal.  But I have one portal that won't allow me to delete it and when I click to edit, there is one portal alias it won't allow me to delete.  I can add more alisas though.

Why is this?  I am trying to add more aliases, then change my dns and iis to go there, but it won't work on this portal, but it will work on all the other portals.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Sharlyn,

You can't delete the alias you are currently using to access the site. I don't know if that is the actual problem, but that is by design.  This is so that you don't inadvertantly lock yourself out without an alias.

You can go into the PortalAlias table directly and delete entries, but be careful to make sure that you always have one working alias for each portal. After changing the alias in the DB you will need to restart the application to make it take.
