My guess is that the problem is due to the wrapping of the one panel with an update panel, when you already have an embedded update panel.

Do you get any javascript errors in your testing?

In looking at your code again, I do not notice anything showing that a pnltest exists on your page.

Just a few comments...

This line does not look correct but I am no html/xhtml expert.
ErrorMessage="<b>Required Field Missing</b><br />A phone number is required." />

Suggest you make it work in a standard ASP.NET app first.
Then move it to DNN.

This is a very good video on how things work.

I swear I get the oddest problems ever…. Incase you didn’t read my other thread regarding this or if you stumbled (search) across this thread the solution to my particular problem was that where I work the naming convention for page in a module is companyname.projectname.modulename.pagename.ext well, the java/AJAX/DNN compiled code was pissed off by the periods in the module name. When I changed it to companyname_projectname_modulename_pagename.ext my original code worked fine. Thanks to everyone for there suggestions I hope this helps future AJAX/DNN users.

Later, Nathan Rover
