When using any skins thats not in DNN this error is showing. When hitting refresh button or when reload then the old skin is showing, its lika loop between the old and new skin, but this dosnt happend to the skin thats in DNN, but i have now tried many other skins and this allways happens, please help!!!

Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request.

Best regards

I just got this error for the first time tonight...a half dozen times, but only on one page I was building for a custom login. I deleted it and built a new one and all was well.  I'd be interested in knowing what causes this and how to avoid it in the future.

I am able to duplicate this error, which is my fault.

I am in a hotel with a crappy WI-FI setup, so a bit slower than at home...was moving modules around and clicked on view from the edit page BEFORE it finished writing and doing its thing. When I got back to the page, the module that I was flinging around while switching to view was located in the header...so as far as my page producing this error, I am pretty sure it's from moving modules and chaning to view before it finishes the move.

Some updates, it must have something with cache to do, when i wait for 1 hour and then goes back in then everything works ok, then i can press refresh without having new and old skin looping once at a time. But its not enough only turn the pc on and off, i must wait for some time. Is there a settings that can do this?

Windows 2003 web server (NOT SP2 since Vista and RDP dont work with SP2), DotNetNuke 4.5.5 with its own application pool in IIS.

Best regards
