I just upgraded to 4.5.5.  I accidently ran the install before changing my settings on webconfig.  So it had the old information.  Anyway... the intall looked like it went through OK except for a couple of little things that stupidly enough, I did not write down.  Now, my file manager only sees the first of my subfiles.  The site still has all the files and it still shows up when you navagate to it, but I can not upload any more files to folders.  Also, if I add a new folder, it will add that folder to the file system but you can't see it under the portal root either....  ARGH!

Can someone point me in a direction I should try?

I have already went to the host settings and turned off the auto-sync and turned it back on again.  I've sync'd the files under folder manager and it just isn't showing up!

perform a recursive synchronisation (button with check box in the upper right corner of the File Manager in Admin menu)

I tried that, still didn't work. :(

Although, you can at least pull up the files where you couldn't before.  The files are still not showing in the file manager.

  • is there a problem listed in the dotnetnuke event log?
  • file manager only shows files inside the /portals/[portalid] folder

Here is the error that I got when trying to open one of the files...

HOWEVER....  gremlins must've fixed that because it opens now.  I didn't work even after the recursive, but does now.

The file manager shows the Portal folder and two docs I have in it and it shows the FIRST of 10 folders with it's correspondening docs.  The file that I showed you above is located in a folder that is not showing up in the file manager.
