I was trying to upgrade an old portal to a newer version of the forum. I downloaded Forum_03.20.09_Install.zip, and uploaded it to the portal (DNN 3.1.0). All seemed ok but now whenever I click "My Settings" I get this error message:

Unhandled error loading module.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: ? ---> System.MissingMethodException: ? at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.UserSettings.set_ForumTree(DnnTree WithEventsValue) at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.__BuildControl__control96() at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.__BuildControl__control94(HtmlTableCellCollection __ctrl) at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.__BuildControlrowDefaultForum() at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.__BuildControl__control93(HtmlTableRowCollection __ctrl) at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.__BuildControltblTracking() at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.__BuildControlTree(Control __ctrl) at ASP.Forum_UserSettings_ascx.FrameworkInitialize() at System.Web.UI.UserControl.InitializeAsUserControlInternal() at System.Web.UI.UserControl.InitializeAsUserControl(Page page) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(Type t) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

What's going wrong? I've tryed downloading the modulae and re-installing it 4 times now and the same results occur everytime.

Help!

Hi Huckle,

I think you should check for the minimum releasenumber of DNN for this version of the Forum module. I believe (not quite sure) that this should be at least 3.3.5

Thanks for such a quick reply.

Where might I find out compatibilty? I've looked everywhere I can think of - even in the source - but ain't had much luck. Is there some documentation page I am missing or something?

Huckle,

You can see this on the download page in the section "Dotnetnuke Projects (New Releases)". It is a bit down on the page.

Maybe you can also find info about this in the forum of the specific project.

Marc
