Does anyone know the direct link to the Manage Profile page?  I realize it will be different for every DotNetNuke site, but am hoping someone will at least know the format or how/where I can find it as it pertains to my site.

Thanks in advance.

You have to go to the Manage User page first.  The Profile management is activated by making a seperate control visible on that same page through a post-back.

John, thanks for the response.

Maybe it would help if I explain a little bit more about what I'm trying to do.  Please see the screenshot below for reference...

A tab on my menu bar is titled "My Portal".  From this menu item, I have a drop-down menu that gives the options "Home", "My Profile", and "Logout"...

  • Home is the homepage that users are directed to following a successful login.
  • My Profile is what I intend to link to the "Manage Profile" page.  I do not feel that clicking on ones user name to access this area is sufficiently "user-friendly" and obvious enough for a typical user..
  • Logout logs a user out of the portal.

I understand that the "Manage Profile" page is called out through a post-back.  However, I'm led to believe that it can still be accessed somehow through a direct link.  Logout was also a post-back, but I found that linking to the URL ".../Admin/Security/Logoff.aspx" does the same thing.

I have tried linking the "My Profile" menu item to the JavaScript post-back ( __doPostBack('dnn$dnnUSER$cmdRegister','')), but this does not work.  I'm assuming this is because DotNetNuke automatically adds the "http://" prefix to any URL link.  I have not found a way around this.

Hopefully this clarification will lead to an answer.

Thanks!

You can do that by creating a new page and putting the "User Account" module on it.
