For some reason, adding the overflow:auto property to the style tag didn't work for me but I did find another workaround; I added the Scrollbars="Vertical" property to the same panel control and it gave it the scroll bars I needed.  It keeps the page the same size in both IE and Firefox and just allows the user to scroll down the tree to select their folder, which my users thought was a cleaner approach.

Thanks for the post, it got me on the right track!

Find this line of code in the Filemanager.ascx (under the folder admin > files) using your text editor

overflow:auto;"  Runat="server" width="200" Height="300">

Then just add the red text.

With "overflow:auto" u will see a scrollbar whenever the height or width of the element is higher then the element container.

Hello,

This method solved the problem for the tree on the left, perfectly. But for the files on the right, I still have the problem... Any solution ??

Scrollbars=Vertical did not solve my problem neither.... (Or I did not know exactly where to put it...)

Hi Dv,

I'm unable to reproduce your problem. In my dnn instalation (ver 4.5.5), whenever i changed "item per pages" selection, the height of the file manager expand automaticaly to fit the height of the file list (tested on IE7 and Firefox 2.0.06).

The scrollbars it's to fix  the undisplayed folder tree in the left side and not for the undisplayed file list problem that u encounter. anyway  to add the scrollbars property, u can do it like this.

<asp:panel id="pnlTreeInitScripts" style="MARGIN-LEFT: 2px;" scrollbars="Vertical" .....
