Hi

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to copy a whole portal. I have a new skin for a site that i am building but i want it to be the same as my current site. There will be changes but i just feel that it would be quicker to take away from my current configuration rather than build it all again

Login as Host. Go to Host Setting/Portals. From the actionmenu select 'Export Portal Template'. Fill in your Description and select the 'Include Content' checkbox.

 When you go to create your new portal, select the template you just exported.

That should do it...HTH.

Thanks i have donr that but every time i go to create a new portal it says that the email is invalid. pehaps i should start another thread for this problem

Perhaps your setting do not allow for a duplicate email address? Try using a different email address...

I have the same issue.  I want to copy a portal.  I am moving from a 4.4.1 installation at one hot to a 4.5.5. installation at another.

The problem is, my site has lots of content, and the template feature is not very successful.  When I load the template into the new site, it will create parts, but not all of the new site.  I have installed the custom moduces and skins seperately, but it still only half works.

Can I just copy the folders or files?  If so, which ones?
