Hi All,

I just started to look at DNN and really like with I like it, I see how this could be a real time saver on projects.  I have a few questions that should be simple for anyone that has been coding in this for while should be able to answer:

1)  Can modules talk to each other.  If i have a list module and a details module on the same page, can I have the details module change to the current list item selected in the list module?  If have looked at a few examples and they all seem to be single modules.

2)  Can a module transfer the page.  If I have a list module on page A and several different detail modules on page B, can I have the user select an item from the list and have the module change to page B and display the details?

3)  Is there any API Documentation out there for the DNN framework, something that describes all the different objects and properties and methods?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Frank

Frank,

Regarding items 1 and 2 you should be able to do that without too much trouble.  Have a look at Michael Washington's tutorials for some more information.  (http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com)

For item 3, for an API reference that is currently a bit lacking.  You can look in the Object Browser to get a good idea, however not a lot of the detailed code comments exist as of today.

Thanks Mitchel,

I checked out the link and it really helped, it lead me to the blog module which kind of does what I am looking for, cross talk between modules.
