Greetings,

My Questions:

1) If I need to hire an ASP.NET developer to help me with programming and backend stuff, what could I expect to pay? (I'd like to do most of the content development and would need periodic help as things evolved).

2) Where could I find that person?

Although I've been developing websites w/ Dreamweaver / Flash for 5  years, I'm new to DotNetNuke and have minimal experience w/ web programming. I've monlighted the last 2 years planning and preparing my online children's ebook business and now I'd like to integrate database connectivity -  memberships / profiles, user points for message board postings, ebook quizzes, stats, etc...

Thank you so much for any imput!

1. I am not aware, that there are common rates, it depends on the location of the developer and his expertise.

2. have a look at www.dnnguru.com for example.

I took a quick peek at that URL. It looks somewhat new. I'll give Guru and eLance a try as well. I just was hoping to get a rough idea of the possible cost, perhaps typical hourly rates??

1.)  As mentioned above rates are very varible depending on their area, and other factors.  I know that I personally charge a bit less, simply because I don't have any overhead and it isn't my primary source of income.

2.) dnnguru.com is a good place to look, also sites like RentACoder.com and GetACoder.com are also somewhat popular.  Otherwise just loop for people here.  (I am available but in a very limited fashion for the next month)

Send me an email with some specifcs regarding your needs.  Rates vary but are reasonable.  Putting 2 kids through college, so any extra work is appreciated. :)
