Hopefully this has been documented and I'm just a big old dummy and can't find it...

I've been using Google Blogger on my DNN websites BUT would really like to use the Blog module. What's holding me back is that little guy in my head that says, "you don't know if that Blog module is getting indexed and ultimately your able to be found on the web if you use it" (like Blogger and the use of Technorati).

I WAS a software person till an auto accident. And assisted with search engine optimization. And I'm not sure looking at the code or looking at the fields in all the setups per blog and per post.

Now, trying to be a photographer I want to make sure what effort I have left gets put in to something that markets well, indexed and survives.

ANY comments or help would be appreciated!

Ron

This module will get indexed, but it does not follow the api that will communicate with Technorati and the other ping services. Google will crawl just as it will any DNN site, but you will lose the benefits you have using the blogger platform. Of course if you really wanted to utilize your blog for traffic, I would suggest using Wordpress over blogger. Its  a little more difficult to get set up and us, but the benefits are also a lot greater with the correct plugins installed.
