Hello, I installed DNN on my godaddy account www.westrun.com. I originally had setup my site using frontpage and you could type in my domain and get my home page and then my other links were simple like www.westrun.com/news.htm. Well, now that I am using DNN, my questions are these: 1.Will my website links not look simple anymore?  2. I used 2006 as the name of my root directory, will my links always have www.westrun.com/2006 in them? 3. How can I make the home page of my DNN website be what people are directed to when they type in www.westrun.com.

Thanks for any answers...Chris

Hi Chris,

Regarding having visitors redirected to www.westrun.com/2006/ (and hence your home page) when they go to www.westrun.com...

I do something similar with my site www.gavinharriss.com, you'll notice that you get redirected to www.gavinharriss.com/dnn/. The way I do this is to have a default.aspx page in the domain root which redirects to www.gavinharriss.com/dnn/.

Unfortunately, yes - you're url's will be a little more complicated unless you make more redirect pages in your root. Or you could play with SiteUrls.config which allows you to apply a technique called url re-writing to achieve the same effect. You'll need to understand a little about using regular expresions though to get this to work.

Hope this helps a bit.
