Hi There,

 

Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction here. For the Dot Net Nuke site I am working on, I need it to send all of the details when a user signs up (all the profile details etc.) in an email. Also, if a user changes their profile I need it to do the same (email all the profile's properties).

 

I know how to actually send an email. The problem I have is hooking into the the profile create/update proccess. As far as I can tell from some digging in the code, to do this I have to heavily modify the code in the base dot net nuke project. This means the change is for the WHOLE portal, as well as making me maintin my 'fork' from the dotnetnuke project, so when new version (etc.) come out, I will manually need to keep it up to date.

 

Am I totally missing somthing here? Any help would be muchly appreciated!

I haven't got any code for you but I saw a module recently that does this and I kept a note of where it was:

It does all the right stuff except that it won't notify if the email address has changed. There might be some clues in the specs there for you.. or spend 20 bucks and save a pile of work.
