Got a problem with the template system that im hoping someone has some thoughts on.

We use portalsettings.GetSiteSetting and portalsettings.UpdateSiteSetting to store some global variable for some of our modules.

Modules which we are now setting up to work with the DNN Template system

BUT it seems we have problem
 - we are looking at how we get the system to store are restore these settings as part of a template.

So far - we have added the site settings to the export function of the Iportable interface which works fine.

The problem comes however when we run the template and the import function gets triggered.

It seems the UpdateSiteSetting actaully use the Site Settings modules module settings are as the location for the storage of the data.

BUT at the point when the Import function is being triggered on our module - the Site Settings module has not yet been created

Which throws an error and therefore the import fails.

Any one got any thoughts on this - or how best to deal with it.

Westa
