Howdy folks,

I'm working for a company who is using DNN to create a network of websites. What we would like to do is run multiple domains as portals off of a single install. But to do so we need multiple SSL entries for the various domains. Is this do-able? Has anyone done it before?

Last I checked MS IIS does not allow multiple SSLs on the same web server.

You may be better off looking at the SSL shared certificate feature to get what you need.
This way you have one SSL certificate - and let DNN Hhandle the SSL remapping.

For my information: is a shared SSL the same as a wilcard SSL? Or is it just using a SSL url for HTTPS only and then switch back to the orginal domain?

This is not true. You may have as many SSL certs on IIS as you have IP addresses/websites. You can not have separate websites answering to the same IP using different certs.

 

In short... If you have 3 websites on the same IIS server, all answering to different IP address, they may all have its on SSL cert. Or same IP address, and use a different port other than 443 (not a good idea).
