New to DNN. I've tryed several times to install DNN 4.0.2. Followed the guidelines in docuentation:
SQL EXPRESS, Framework 2.0, create Web.config from release.config, created virtual directroy pointing to where source code resides. Executed the install program. A couple of times everything has run to completion and the website has come up; but now all I get is the parent directory and the index page of the files on the site.
This has been one of the most difficult installs I've encountered. Please, HELP!

This indicates that IIS is not configured so that it loads "Default.aspx" by default, so when you enter http://localhost/DotNetNuke it doesn't know to load the default.aspx file, and displays the directory listing.

The installation went ok because, it explicitly redirects to install.aspx for the installation and then default.aspx when you click the link at the bottom of the page.  Try adding the default.aspx to the url in the browser address bar, and try configuring a default document for IIS.
