Hi!

When I use DNN:s search functionality the search results page is always empty.
Why?

Do I need to configure it some way to show results? 

Can anyone help me?

Did you start an Index run before? That can be done using Host->SearchAdmin->Reindex Ccontent or through enabling  Indexing in Host-> Schedule

I have just checked the scheduler and there is a post "DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler" that is set to run every 30 min, and in the history log it seems to run fine.

But still don´t show any search results..

Same for me.

Using DNN 4.5.5, custom SKIN, added and removed Search object in skin.aspx file, I checked scheduler and reindexing as well... not results. Not even an page title.

Using WWStore and like to search store items too...

Hallo pehu,

It's normal. If you search for some keyword and that keyword doesn't exist in the dbo.SearchWord table of your dotnetnuke database then u will see an empty search result page.

May be u are searching for a keyword in a module that doesn't implement ISearchable interface (Check in the module definition for module feature) or the Search Scheduler doesn't run properly (check log viewer whether there are any error related to DotNetNuke.Services.Search.ModuleIndexer)
