Hi - I have several Parent Portals on my server, and one of these has a child under it that I want to become a parent (I have reg a new domain name for it)....

Help Please.....

thats quite easy to accomplish:

  • make sure the new domain name points to the correct ip address
  • make sure IIS accepts connections on that ip address
  • make sure IIS accepts connections on the domain name
  • add the new domain name as http alias to the child portal in question (log on as host, then go to admin > site settings, scroll to the bottom of the page)
  • browse to the new domain name
  • ... ready
