I've just upgraded to 4.9.0 with the new FCK and I'm getting a very simliar error. The image gallery loads, but if I click on a subfolder inside, it fails. I've done a resync but nothing changes. I'll troubleshoot some more in the morning.

I ended up completely wiping the FCK provider folder and then copied the new one into place. That seemed to fix the issue I had. Something left over from the multiple previous versions is the most likely cause.

I am get the same error and I have just fixed them by this way:

Copy file: DotNetNuke.FckHtmlEditorProvider.dll  from bin directory in your local to the bin directory in your host

it's ok, run

Where did you get the new provider folder?  I'm having the same problem that you were having.
