One of the things that we desperately need at the moment is to be able to at least set download permissions by category, preferably by item.  I saw these items in Gemini, but was wondering if anyone can shed some light as to when these issues are slated to be addressed.  We need something quickly, so if these issues were not near the top of the team's list, we need to do something else, which is fine- I just need to know.  I am getting around the issue in our prototype by having seperate repositories for each download category and setting each module's download settings, but this will require mulitple dashboards and makes searching a pain, not to mention having to set up products as categories in four or five (or more) different modules.  Which reminds me... Can the repository use built in Lists for categories?... I digress.. sorry...

Something that would be nice would be a "Repository Reader" that I can drop on a page and point to a repository instance.  Sort of like a dashboard, but one that I can assign different templates from the main repo and set download permissions for seperately.  I could just use one of the existing templates for this, I suppose.  I don't see me using the multiple column category template...  Hmmm....

If anyone has any information to offer, I'd certainly appreciate it.  Also, if anyone has any ideas as to how I can get done what I need to get done, I'd appreciate that too.
