I received this error when going to Host Settings:

An error has occurred.

I'm getting the same error.  Did you find a fix?  Also, did you compile, yourself, or use the DNN binaries?

I can confirm this. Just did a clean install on a new, clean site.

I'm using 4.5.4 and getting the same error.
I removed and reinstall but it can't fix this error.

I Installed using the compiled code that included the source code.  I have not had time to reinstall.  No, I have not found a fix.

I installed another site using 4.5.5, but only the site files.  This one is running great.

The difference between the two is the broken one is using SQLExpress, the working one is using a static SQL2000 MDF.
