I have posted this inadvertantly in "Chat about it" and got no responses - so I am reposting here.

I'm experiencing a strange login error - most of the users I have made attempt to log in and get the following error:

I have tried it on multiple computers and it occurs the same way with different users and different PCs.  The only inconsistency is that it SOMETIMES occurs with my Host account, while other times I am able to log on.  These accounts all worked before.  The only thing I can think of is that my IT department went and changed some permissions, but I am still able to log in to SQL no problem - Any ideas?

Bascially, the log has a login success, followed by a number of page load exceptions for that user.

The time that the error seemed to begin also has an unviewable log:  I consistently get this error when I want to view the log from late last week:

Error: Log Viewer is currently unavailable

I cut and paste what you wrote into the SQL from Host and executed it - got the response "The query completed successfully" but no luck :(

I have deleted ALL my users short of the portal admin user, which also does not work - my only access is to log in as Host.   Are there any user tables or files that I could just replace entirely to repair the issue?  While it was working before, I didnt have a lot of users, so recreating it and resetting the permissions is not a big task.

Thank you so much for your help.  This is quite an unfortunate time for this to happen as I was ready to 'flip the switch' to move this out of testing last Monday, when the problem first showed up!

Josi.

I'm sorry to be reposting again but I am desperate for a solution as I have been spinning my tires on this for over a week.  I even reinstalled DNN in a different location but even with moving the portal over to the new version, there are too many things I would need to recreate to make it time-effective.

I would be happy to just delete all user settings, delete all the users and replace the login module and reenter all the users and permissions if it would resolve the problem!  I just don't know which files to replace and which database table to replace to do so.

Thanks in advance if you can offer any assistance!

J

SOLVED it!  I had deleted the time zone and locale settings in the portal!  I added them back and populated the fields for my users and it works great!
