I am trying to get DNN 4.5.5 setup but so far i have been unsuccessful.  I am using Windows 2003 and SQL 2005 Standard Edition.  I have tried to follow the install guide verbatim and take tips from the forum but am still having problems so here is my question.  Are there any configuration considerations when using MS SQL 2005 Standard in a Mixed Authentication Mode using the Default Instance?

Thank you

this should work out of the box, if you manually create the database and grant dbo permission for the user, dotnetnuke is using to access the database. See the Installation Document available at Resources :: Documentation here on dotnetnuke.com.

Hmmm OK this "should work" but i've been beating my head against the wall for he last three days trying to get this thing installed.  Does it matter if i Install SQL with a Default Instance vs a Named Instance?  How does this impact the web.config connection strings?  I have verified my DB_owner can log into SQL Management Studio but no luck.  If i go here http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Install/installwizard.aspx I get the Install Wizard.  I select typical and next and then i successfully verify File Permissions.  Select Next and I get "This site is currently Unavailable, Please check back later"

Any ideas?  Here is my connection string:

<

connectionStrings> Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express -->add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" /> Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005-->connectionStrings>appSettings> Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules -->add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;" /> Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
