Hi,

I am looking for a module that can work as a document repository to become a type of "My Documents" for users.

I do not want to have to add a new modult and set the permissions everytime a user is added to the site, I want to to magically happen. Is this possible and is there something out there that you think can do this out of the box? If there was a way that users could share documents, that would be another plus but that is possibly asking too much :)

I am more than open to suggestions so any feedback would be great.

thanks,

Matt

You are just looking for a module that would allow users to store files for their OWN use?  I am not aware of anything out there, but it could be done quite easily.

Hi Mitchel,

Yeah - looking for a module that allows users to store their own files without a site admin having to setup each users file repository manually.

How would I go about doing this?

Thanks,

Matt

Basically you can  build a simple module that allows for file uploads and can store the files in the file system and you develop your own way to manage permissions.

I personally have just done something similar to this, it wouldn't take you too many hours to implement depending on the desired implementation.

If you need help on module development I would recommend looking at Michael Washington's tutorials.  If you are looking to potentially contract out work, send me an e-mail.

Thanks Mitchel.

I will have a further look into it and let you know if I require any assistance.

Thanks,

Matt
