is there any special permissions to be set on the EventQueue directory. I have a client on shared hosting site running dnn3.3.7 when the application starts the server does a login request with a pop up window - if the client simple cancels this then an error display is shown statting that access to EventQueue directory is denied. If the client again links to his site then it runs without any pop up. However every now and then it agains displays the login popup window and simply closing this window allows the client to continue.

I assume that DNN is writing to this directory and I can't see why this directory is special  ie the client can create directories and upload files into them using file manager and can upload skins and modules without any permission problems however only when there seems to be activity to this one directory he gets permissions problems I can over come this by editing the log config and turning off the reporting of application start and application end and the all inclusive * entry.

I am at a loss to understand why only this directory gives permission problems.

If they manually delete the event messages in the event queue folder then they will stop getting the popup on restart of the application.
