Hi. My problem really is to make the edit botton visible for users that are in admin role and make it invisible to users that are basic(registered) users. And i can´t find the image or the Hiperlink in the DataList to put them visible="false". I use this:

Dim

Link As HyperLink = CType(e.Item.FindControl("editLink"), HyperLink)

to find the control in:

<

asp:DataList ID="lstAnnouncements" runat="server" Summary="Announcements Design Table"

CssClass="DNN_ANN_DesignTable">

<ItemTemplate>

<asp:HyperLink ID="editLink" runat="server" NavigateUrl='<%# EditURL("ItemID",DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"ItemID")) %>'

Visible="<%#IsEditable%>">

<asp:Image ID="editLinkImage" AlternateText="Editar" Visible="<%#IsEditable%>" ImageUrl="~/images/edit.gif"

runat="Server" resourcekey="Edit" />

</asp:HyperLink>

<asp:Literal ID="ltContent" runat="server"></asp:Literal>

</

</ItemTemplate>asp:DataList>

but returns null and don´t find any control. how can i do this?

Thanks

Not sure what you are trying to do here. Visible="<%#IsEditable%>">  already makes sure that the edit pencil is only visible to users that have edit rights. You can set the edit rights in module settings, just like for every other dnn module...
