I had created a table yesterday that involved using an image of a person; their First name; Last Name; Length of lunch hour; and time in and out of the office for each day of the week. We use it to show our Flex time schedule( when you would normally be in and out of the office)  After installing the upgrade I am getting a red Triangle and the error      An error has occurred Staff Flex Schedule is unavaliable.     I went in to check the setting and the trial staff that I put in there and they were not in there. So I tried to add them again and they still do not show up.  Should I just delete it and try again?

We also using the User Define Table for a project lsit. I love the removal of the duplication of information in the previous column. Thank You!

I am trying to use the search  features, I can get a result when I am logged in. When I select the hyperlink to take me to that page where the project on the project list resides, I don't get any results at all, I stay at that first page.  I only get sorted columns when I log in , not if I am a casual user of the web site.

Also If you have a 40 some page user define table, when you add or edit a project it takes you back to the first page rather than the 8th or 9th page where you were editing, This can be qute tiresone if you are entering aseveral projects in the lsit.

The website that I am working on is an Intranet site and therefore can not really be seen by the outside world.

If you have any feedback or suggestions on any of my items, I would gladly appreciate it. If you need any further information I would be glad to discuss it further.

THank you for developing such a handy tool.

Hi Christine,

thank you for your feedback. some remarks:

  • if you have issues with an upgraded UDT version, export, delete and re-import it.
  • I do not understand you search issue, are you stating, that a page link is not working in search results?
  • preserving paging state during editing is an enhancement, I will add to our roadmap.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

When a non administrative person goes to the website (intranet) (no login) staff members access the user define table of project information, they can not get to any other page other than the first page. If you sort by column nothing happens. If you pick on a page number, nothing happens , you stay on the front page and then after a number of attempts including selecting Next or Last,  an error message comes up   “ An Error has occurred Error: Project Numbers is currently unavailable.”

(I have an image of the error but can't insert it)

When using a url for a link to a file or folder, can a title be given rather than displaying the whole path or file name?

(I have an image of this, but can't insert it)

When searching for a project number I type in the search box the entire number (not just partial and a *) and then I pick on Search. It opens again the first page/screen stripped of the skin I have and no information about the project I am looking for.    Behind it sometime it has a page with just that project listed.

(I have have an image of this, but can't insert it)
.

If I try it again I get this. I think it is because I used the enter key rather than using the mouse and selecting Search. (see below) Also if I try to do a search on all the projects from one client, it takes me back to my previous search and doesn’t list out my numerous projects….

My apologies that this so long to respond, but I wanted to collect the images and what was going on into a word document so I could send the information to you. It also took me a while to see how to reply to you.

Thank you for the deve;opment of User Define tables. If there is an easier way to send you info on how things work, please let me know.

Thanks

Christine

Which version of UDT are you using (see Module Definitions in Host menu)?

Have you tried UDT 3.4.0 (requires DNN 3.3.6/4.3.6+)

The version of UDT that we are using is UDT 03.04.00 .   I would like to go live with this site soon and wondered how the resolve on the  search and paging  issues are going.

Currently  unless you are an administrator editor person, you can not search or use the pages. I t keeps you just at the first page. We currently have about 15 pages of 40 projects.

ALso as you are entering or editing an updated project it will take you off of the page you are at and then throw you to the begining after every single entry or edit. So then you have to make at least 4-5 picks to get back to the page you were at. so that you can continue down the project list.

Is it possible to place a title rather than the full path name for  a URL ? THe full URL path clutters the table. A title or tag  or name could be shorter and easier to work with visually in the table.

What do you Think?

Sincerely Christine
