Hi,

i'm new to DNN and trying to set up my first site. this is what i've done so far. i downlaoded the starter kit and installed successfully using VWD using the auto installation option. after the installation completed successfully, i clicked on the link 'click here to access portal', and was directed to the 'Welcome to DotNetNuke' that displayed administrator and host logins and when i logged in these worked fine. i then tried logging in with the details from my host and it failed. i thought that the details my host gave me were incorrect but found out later that they were indeed correct. i want to go back to the portal and try the login details again. how do i do this? in other words, how do i access the portal again? is this done through VWD? i'm very confused!!! HELP PLEASE!!!! 

Using VWD, you can run your local installation of DNN withou having to set up anything else. However, it doesn't install anything on a remote server - only on your own computer. From your post it seems that you are trying to use your installation on some host provider? In that case, DNN has to be installed on their machine. If that's the case and you need some support for that - please respond here. If not, please clarify your problems.
