...first time trying the repository module, per John M.'s suggestion.  I must say - pretty click module, guys.  Very nice.

It may work for what I am trying to do, so been reading page after page and doing some searches for help, but I found nothing...so here it goes:

Are we able to change the look and feel of, say, the "nifty" layout? I would like to remove the "File Size" and perhaps change the language of "Downloads" to "views" or something like that (or remove it altogether).  Also, it's adding an icon to the title bar; can I make this go away?

I am also not a fan of having 10 radio buttons for ratings and collapsing these down to 5 stars; a '7' rating translates into 4 stars. Could I change this to 5 radio buttons to correspond to the 5-star rating? :)

Lastly, I am sure I can't do this on my end, but have you ever considered adding an 'expiration date' for posts, thereby removing them from the view state at a predetermined time, much like the announcements module and others?

In short, I am trying to couple the nice template, the comments field, the ratings, and use the repository as an announcement module.  ;)

Again, pretty slick modules, guys.  Well-done.

One more follow-up, if I may be so bold; is it also possible to remove the thumbnail URL ( .../DesktopModules/Repository/MakeThumbnail.aspx?tabid=xxx&id=x) from pictures we add to the post?

Okay, last one and I;ll throw in the towel for tonight.  :)

I am required to enter a summary, though the FCK editor has no room for the summary...wasn't returning the error, at first, but after clicking upload a million times and tweaking, I found the error displayed...just no room to enter it; I had to switch to the basic editor to get a text area in which I entered the summary...just wanted to let you know, in the event this is a bug and not just user error.  :)

Okay, one more follow-up. :)

I found the documentation, which was godsend, as the document pointed to the files I would need to edit and some of the code; therefore, i was 1.) able to remove the graphic in the title bar (I tried to customize it, but no matter how I played with it, I couldn't expand it from 16x16, though my graphic was enlarged to 32x32...being constrained somewhere else, I guess, so I removed it and like it better this way anyway. 2.) Removed the thumbnail URL from attaching to the graphic 3.) changed the date format, etc.

I'm still playing, but I am still unable to:

1.) Change the text of "download" to "view." I found the tokens for the label in the xml file, but didn't really where this can be changed.  I changed it to DNNLABEL: View and LABEL: VIEW in the template.html file but to no avail...little help understanding how we change the text label displayed for the tokens?

2.) Looked at the ratings files, but don't really see any source that would allow me to change the rating scheme; not possible?  Not a show-stopper, but since I was in here playing, well, ...

3.) I am not using files; rather, I am inseting URLs and images, but I want to use the "niftytoggle," which is geared toward files.  Therefore, I have to select the directory template, add the post, then change the format to the niftytoggle, which is a royal pain...any way to change the requirements (e.g., use the same fields as the directory repository) for the niftytoggle to match those of the directory? WOuld I somehow copy over the template of the niftytoggle that I modified and replace the template in the directory?

Hello terp,

Since nobody is answering, I will try to answer, but I am still a beginner.

For the size 16x16 it is in the XML file if I am correct.

For 1/
Have you tried searching in Host / Languages to modify this text ? Maybe it's there ???
For 3/
Just modify the template niftytoggle but insert correct token to use the "directory" (you must also modify form.html and form.xml to have it working, not only the template).
