When Gallery module is installed using Gallery_3.0.12_Source.zip in DNN 4.4.1, it is throwing errors. Can any body help me? Is there any special configuration settings required for source code installation?

You don't "Install" the source version of the code.  You need to "install" the binary release of the code, and then manually unzip the source version and copy it over the binary installed version.

PS.  The source code is a .NET 1.1 ASP.NET app.  (assuming you are using the beta 3.0.12/3.1.12 version.

Thank you very much for your help.

I am new to dotnetnuke, Can you please suggest me how to copy the source code over the binary. I mean which file should be copied where (in which folder etc.)

Thanks.

Actually it is much easier than you think.

First install the binariy/runtime version of the gallery (the install version) just like you would any other DNN module (if you need help with that you probably should buy a book on DNN and/or read the standard DNN help files).

Unzip the source version to a directory on your computer somewhere.

The gallery module installs into the ...yourpathtoyourwebsite/DesktopModules/Gallery/....all gallery files go here

The files you unziped from the source zip should be copied to that DesktopModules/Gallery/... directory.  The directory structure and file layout should look similar for the install/source versions.

PS.  The source version of the code is only for developers.  You will need the whole VS 2003 and whatnot. So if you are confused about copying files into a directory you probably aren't ready to start doing development on the code.
