Hi,

I'm not sure if this is possible, but here goes....

I've added a UDT, and I have added the search box to it (by ticking the Add Searchbox to the Style Sheet switch). I then generated the XSLT and removed the search box from the XSL.

What I would like to do is have the search variable populate from a URL parameter. For example ..../Default.aspx?search=1234

At the moment I have changed the variable to a param and set it as follows....

<xsl:param name="search">1234</xsl:param>

How do I get the value from the URL?

Stefan,

Thanks for the response. However, I have read this, but didn't really understand it.

Is it saying that if I add "?udt_460_param_search=1234" to the url (e.g. www.sample.com/Default.aspx?udt_460_param_search=1234) then the parameter will automatically be available inside the xsl with the name param_search?

Yes, it is passes as parameter, all you need is an < xsl:param name="param_search" /> to aget the value of the querystring (or form value) of udt_460_param_search

Stefan,

That's great thanks. I've now got it working.

What a fantastic module it is.

Thanks for your help.
