We would like to be able to upload files to our server via FTP and add them to a repository (either automatically upon upload via FTP, or by going into the repository and selecting them - rather than downloading them to the repository directly from our hard drive). Can anyone help us understand how to do this?

you can upload your files to a directory of your choice. make sure that you syncronize your files/folders in File Manager. After you do that, all files will be available to you in a file dropdown in repository module

Spoke foolishly - my apologies.

I am not sure what you are referring to.  In the repository module, there is no dropdown (picklist) of all files in any directory on the server.  The only option when uploading a new file to the repository is to browse files that are on your PC.

It's difficult but it can be done. Some have FTP'd the files up and manually entered all of the required information into the database tables. Others have uploaded 1k files via the Repository and then overwrote them by FTPing the fullsize files.

Thanks for the info!  For whoever's listening - this would be a nice "wish list" item for the next release of Repository.
