If I write a simple page in VS2005 - say, to add the contents of two text boxes and place the result in a third - is there a simple way I can take the .aspx and .aspx.vb pages place them somewhere in the portal structure and make them perform on a page in DNN?

I want the page I have written to be able to live within the portal so I can develop it later - though I do not want to have go through the difficulties of developing a module :-)

I tried an IFrame but that just displays the portal's home page and I do not know why!

Can anyone help me please??

Very simply you can load the page to your site, then simply use the "IFrame" module to display it.

Makeing a full blown DNN module to do something simple is not that hard. It can be done in as little as 10 minutes using Visual Web Developer (or Visual Studio). Try this tutorial:

Super-Simple Module (DAL+) (C# and VB)

I hope you will see that it is no longer hard or complicated to fully leverage the DotNetNuke framework.

Thank you both for your replies.

I thought I had tried the IFrame but I must have done something wrong because when I tried it again it worked - I must be getting old :-)

I had looked at the tutorial to build a module is VS2005 from a starter kit but got bogged down. The tutorial you pointed me to Michael is much simpler - thanks.

I am having to deliver answers without the chance to fully learn the system's details which is, of course a mistake - is there a good book I can refere to? (I have the dummies book)
