I am new to DNN.

I have just successfully installed version 4.5.5 on my PC - XP SP2 with, .net framework 2.0, IIS 5.1

the installation process went very smothly and i am able to add and manipulate pages on my new DNN site.

the problem is that when i add a forum module i don't get the same action menu as i should get according to the documentation.

i only have "print | settings | delete | more" and am missing all other options as displayed on this tutorial:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/guidedtour/HelpForumConfigure.htm
furthermore, the way the forum module looks on the design view is not as it looks on the demo.dotnetnuke.com

any help will be greatly appreciated.

make sure, you have edit module permissions granted in module settings.

I am not sure I understand what you mean.

I am logged in as admin to the site and am trying to configure the forum module for the first time around. on the DNN guided tour page http://www.dotnetnuke.com/guidedtour/HelpForumConfigure.htm it says that i should see stuff like "configuration" and "manage forum" on the module actions menu (which i think is the little blue arrow at the top left corner of the module). instead all i have in this menu is "print", "settings", "delete" and "more".

mabye my installation was not as successful as i thought . thanks for any feedback,
