Hi,

Ive searched everywhere to find a solutions for my problem. Maybe can someone help me?
Will explain it; i have two running portals with different aliases. On every portal ive added the search module using a skin object. Searching for a word will give a blank page (no results at all) The Search result page is available, tried the re-index content but that didnt work, search summary words are added to pages

But the strange thing is that on one portal the search was working correctly.
Im working with version dnn 4.0.5.

Does anyone knows more regarding this issue?

Thanks,
Tessa

please make sure, that there is exactly one page with a sigle instance of the search results modules, delete any other instance, even from the bin.

There has been no DotNetNuke versions 4.0.5, current is 4.5.5

Thanks for your quick reply!
Your right ive got version 4.05.01:-)

But what does that mean exactly ? what kind of instance? And where do i find it in the directory bin?
If you mean a module, there is only one search input and search results module.

For both portals i use different skins for every page. In every page ive put the search skin object.

Thanks again,
Tessa

in your portal, there shall be a hidden page "Search Results" (check out Pages in Admin Menu), that has a Search results module placed on it and there shall be no other page in your portal, that has this module on it - not even a deleted one, except you finalized it by clearing the Recycle Bin in admin menu.

Also this here looks like the one i'm having, but with no result so far. Maybe from a Guru like Mr. Leupold?
