Hey All,

I run a social network and am looking for a flicker(photo) module so my members will be able to upload pictures to their profiles for both their and the other members on my site to view (Like Myspace and Facebook).  The DNN-Gallery-Module looks like a good start for me right now however I am having trouble with the permissions.    It seems that the only way I can allow my members to create an album is giving them admin permission.  This poses a problem since they will then be able to access the module settings which is no good.  Is there any way to allow my members to add pictures without creating an album or allow my members to create an album without giving them admin permissions so they can post their pictures.  If not can anyone make a recommendation for a module developer for this situation.  Thank you.

In order to upload pictures to a gallery, the user needs edit permissions on the gallery module.  This either means that you add each user individually, or you create a new security role, give the security role the edit permissions, and add the users to the security role.  Although it might seem like more up-front work, creating a security role is usually the right way to go.  (For instance, you can then create pages/tabs/modules that include helpful information, and make it visible *only* to the members of the security role... so the only people that see it are the ones that need it.)
