Hi once again,

I came back again with my login page problem but this time the situation is different. Like I complete my website then I decided to do some extra settings so I browsed SITE SETTINGS and direct the HOME PAGE drop down to my home page, LOGIN PAGE drop down to my login page (which I made by adding Login Module) after that i logout. Now whenever I click on default  login link (not the login page link which i made previously becuase i dont have this link visible to my website, this is only for administrator use) it shows the error "The page isn't redirecting properly. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies. " this error is in firefox browser, i enable the cookies and also check it in other browsers but always it shows the error pages.

I try to explain the scenario but dont know how far you can understand.

any suggestion based on this scenario will be highly appreciated.

From the sounds of it you have the visibility of the login page set to admin only, i would guess that your problem is that it must be visible to all.  You can not show it in the menu, but it MUST be visible to all users.

Thanks for your reply. But the problem is that i cannot login. whenever i click the login link it goes to error page. and the link in the address bar is something like this:

http://localhost/dotnetnuke/Login/tabid/172/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fdotnetnuke%2fLogin%2ftabid%2f172%2fDefault.aspx%3freturnurl%3d%252fdotnetnuke%252fLogin%252ftabid%252f172%252f.......(and so on)

it show unlimited url having alot of numerics. there should be some way to change the pages or code which we previously entered. even from the source code of DNN.

I would modify the portal setting via the database to clear the login page selection.  You can do this by updating the LoginTabId column to null for your specific portal.

Then you can login and verify page permissions.
