Hi

DNN 4.5.5

Module that cames with DNN

I created in my site a Role named "Editor News"

I created a user named "Editor" and I associated this user with the "editor news" group

In Home page I inserted a Announc module and the permissions are:

For the page :                      All User can view                              None can edit

For the module :                 Not Inherit from the page                 All user can view                  Editor News can edit.

When I log me with the the editor user I can't edit, insert or delete the news.

I'm not shure to perfect understood how the permission work, but I believe that in this scenario everything should work.

Do you have some suggestion for me.

Thanks

Alex

Alex,

The first thing I'm going to suggest is to make sure that you're not in Design View with the Editor role.  In the page functions, the Design button should have a minus (-) sign on it.  If it has a plus sign, you're in Design View....click on the Design button to change the view.

Thanks.

I solved deleting and recreating the editors role and the editor user.

I'm shure I was not in view mode because, reading another post, I checked this

Thanks again

Alex
