Membership Invoicing system ?

I have couple of small club / members sites where the extended DNN profile system is faster and better than the clubs office systems - they are certainly more up to date.
My question is to ask if anyone knows of any systems that can reference profile and subscription info to produce invoices that are perhaps linked back to online payment pages.
It seems to me that while not being a full on accounting system it would make it easier for many small organisations dealing with many of the work flow problems that happen with data in two places.
Thinking about it I suppose I am talking about a "shop" that sells membership / subscriptions.

There used to be a system that did this back in the days of 2.1 but it's not current - seem like a useful thing though ?

Thanks
Ian
