Hi

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on Googles page rank. I have had a site running for about 3 months now www.classcampers.com and know that around 10 sites are now linking to me. However, i havent got any googlr page rank. At least 3 of the sites that link to me have got a pagerank of 4.

Google analytics shows that i have got 8 inbound links so i would have thought that i would have a pagerank of 2 at least. I am wondering if it has anything to do with my images that make up my top menu and my use of the title tages and alt tages

Any ideas would be great. I have 556 urls in googles index

Cheers

Page Rank on the Toolbar does not update but a few times a year. It should have updated for the Fall yet, but I don't believe it has. Google says they update their internal PR constantly, but who really knows whether it happens. Just keep building your incoming links and your green bar will move eventually.

Keep in mind that sites do not have PageRank, pages have PageRank.  If the individual page that links to you does not have PR then it won't matter what PR the home page is of the site that links to you.

How well your site can be spidered should not matter at all as long as it can be reached without error.

Also, Google does not show any pages linking to your home page. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGIH_en___US207&q=link%3ahttp%3a%2f%2fwww%2eclasscampers%2ecom

If you have found links to you in Google Analytics, that does not mean that Google is counting them.  If you want to post a link to a site that does have a link to yours then I may be able to tell you more.

I am in the same boat. As others have mentioned, I read that the updates are far and few between and haven't been done by Google for awhile (my site is about 3 months old, too, and I am still sporting a big, fat goose egg PR0).

That said, check out the Google Webmaster Tools site; they have a 'Crawl Stats' section that shows the bar. I see movement on mine, so I assume I'll have some movement after the next global update...Yaaaahoo!  :)

Any tips on getting the crawlers to recognize new pages as I add them? I am trying to figure out what is the best way to layout my site. I am also looing to insure my new pages are picked up by crawlers and I am maximizing my PR by simplifying my layout.

On a side not, albertramsbottom nice site! What mod do you use for the clasified, clubs and events page?

Thanks,

Sean
