Hello!  I extracted the Zip for 3.2.2 and followed the instructions in the readme.txt file (except I can't find the dotnetnuke.install template file).

However, I am unable to get it to connect to my database...  I am running WinXP SP2, MSDE 2000, and .NET 1.1...

Error:

Error Installing DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 03.02.02

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

Any ideas?

Thanks!

JValvo

I can only assume that you updated your ConnectionString in the web.config file to the Database that you created in your SqlServer. Try to connect to this same database with these same credentials (UserName / Password) using QueryAnalyzer or VS.Net to make sure the credentials are setup correctly. What readme.txt file are you referring to. Is it in the Zip file? I can't see it in my version of the same zip file.

The readme.txt file that I'm talking about is in the ZIP file and gets extracted to: C:\DotNetNuke\Documentation.  It is the readme that tells you how to edit the template to get DNN up and running.

I wasn't able to login with any accounts I created using Query Analyzer (not even my domain account as a domain admin!)...  I was wondering though if we could use SSPI?

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;integrated security=SSPI;" />
