There isnt one - but sure seems there should be.

Ummm ... the problem with the current DNN standard rego module is that it is a bit of a nightmare to change.

Most people who want a custom rego module tend to write a new one - if the basic module does not do what they want.

I need to write my own rego module, but can I start from anything or I need to write a new one from scratch ?

Could I create a new empty module and add some existing object (like as manageusers.ascx) and change them or not ?

Thanks
Luca

The main problem with the default rego module - is that the layout of the rego page is generated dynamically by a PropertyEditorControl

Now while this is kinda cool for self populating controls and for allowing the user to add custom profile elements etc etc
... its not really user friendly if you want fine control over layout of the page.

Have a look at:

Manageusers.ascx is the placeholder
- it loads user.ascx and membership ascx and other stuff as well.

But IMHO - its a lot quicker to do a custom page if you want layout control etc.
