Hi,

I want to get some advise for this case,  I set up a pc use windows 2000 / service pack 4 / iis 5 and use client update from dynamic dns to setup simulate web server, it's ok and i setup dotnetnuke V. 3.3.7.  I can start as locally then i try to connect by the other pc through dial 56 k to server that use  1 mb speed internet.  for normal html page i can access and open , but not ok for the dotnetnuke 1st. page (client pc ready install .net framework 1.1).

In this case it's not problem about access from client to server. I don't sure it's about authenticate or authority or the ohters. If someone ever had this case please advise me how to solve.

Thank you for advance,

C.Wat

First, you need to have access to your PC just by using the IP address. You IP address must be "Public IP" or must be mapped from an public IP address using port 80

You can test your server by just using a simple .html file containing some test and accessing your site by:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/myhtmlfile.htm

where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address asigned to your PC

Thanks locopon,

I didn't have fix ip, it's dynamic but no problem cause I use client update of 'dynamic dns' which match my current ip to the 'domain name' that registered to dyndns.com (ex. abc.dyndns.info). So I test to access the normal html page by http://abc.dyndns.info/test.html and it's ok. The web page shown. The problem is I can access to the dotnetnuke default page as locally.I use normal modem for client pc so I don't sure it's about the speed problem or not. Because even load from pc (simulated as server) itself still slow while load the dotnetnuke default page.

If you have some more idea please inform me to try again.

have you added abs.dyndns.org as a new alias for your site? You can do that from the site settings
